Printing checks

Got an HL-L2305W to replace my old printer which stopped sucking in items through either tray completely (not a dry roller issue since it never sucks the paper in anymore). I knew it came with a multipurpose tray for things like checks so I thought I was set, except the smallest position of the MP tray's guides is still wider than the short side of a check!



Is there any way to use this to print on regular checks? Maybe something like a thin plastic "guide" that can be held by the printer's MP tray guides that fits a standard bank check exactly?
